Objections:To study the anti-lipid peroxidation of arsenism patients after water improvement, to explore the mechanism of arsenic in long-term damages, and provide scientific evidence for the effectiveness evaluation of preventing and curing the parochial arsenicosis.Methods:Within medium-grade and high-grade arsenicosis regions that had employed water improvement for 5 years. At least, randomly selected 50 chronic arsenicosis patients respectively form the low-grade, medium-grade and high-grade arsenicosis group, and 50 healthy residents lived in non-high arsenic exposure villages as control. Collected the drinking-water simples, the blood and the urine specimens from everyone in each group, detected the livingness of SOD, GSH-Px and GSTs as well as the level of MDA in serum, meanwhile detecting the level of arsenic in catheter and in water respectively. Use Xanthinoxidase method to detect SOD, DTBN method to detect GSH-Px, TBA test to detect MDA, and HPLC-HG-AFS method to detect arsenic.Results:According to the national heath standards, arsenic content below the 0.05mg/L in drinking water should be qualified.The level of arsenic in catheter in four groups is statistically significant. (F=1.57, P>0.05); the livingness of SOD, GSH-Px in control group is higher than other groups significantly (P<0.01或P<0.05); the level of MDA in serum in control group is lower than that in other groups, and the difference between control group and high-grade group is statistically significant (D=34.21, P<0.05); MDA content appeared to a rising trend with the lesions increasing and the level of MDA in serum is positively relevant to the degree of the pathological changes(rs=0.24,P<0.01); the livingness of GSTs differs insignificantly in four groups (H=5.09, P>0.05), but it has a tendency of growth along with the aggravation of pathological changes.Conclusion:Arochial arsenicosis lead to body oxidation damage in different degree, and the antioxidant capacity hasn't recovered after 5-year water improvement. the disorder of antioxidant defence system is an important factor in the long-term damages of arsenic such as tumor. Cutting off the high arsenic exposure alone can't eliminate the long-dated potential damage of arsenic completely. It is advised that symptomatic therapy should be carried out along with the cutting. In order to improve the symptom and delay the occurrence of tumor resulting from arsenic, and it is also advised to study and build up the index system of evaluating the effect of intervening parochial arsenicosis, in order to evaluate the effect of preventing and curing the parochial arsenicosis more scientific.
