| Objective:Through the establishment of allergic rhinitis(AR) rat models to explore the mechanism of Granule-MaJie in the treatment of AR.Methods:The rat models of AR were allergized by ovalbumin (VOA).20 male and 20 female SD rats were divided into 4 groups at random(10 in each):the normal control group, the model group, the positive medicine group and Granule-MaJie group. Before and after administration, the differences in the behavior science and the accumulative scores of the local nasal symptoms were observed. After last administration and the rats were anesthetized, the blood were drawn from abdominal aorta of all rats. The histamine content in the plasma were determined by fluorospectrophotometry and the content TNF-a and IL-5 in the serum were determined by ELISA.The experimental data were analyzed using statistical software of SPSS17.0.Results:According to the nasal symptoms and accumulative scores of the rats, the models of AR were established successfully.Compared with the model group, the symptoms of AR were remarkably relieved, and the accumulative scores of the local nasal symptoms were significantly decreased(P<0.01) in the positive medicine group and Granule-MaJie group;Compared with the model group, the histamine content in the positive medicine group and Granule-MaJie group were significantly decreased(P<0.01) and were near to those in the normal control group.Compared with the model group, the content of TNF-a and IL-5 in the serum were significantly decreased in the positive medicine group and Granule-MaJie group(P<0.01).Conclusion:The experimental results showed that Granule-MaJie could remarkably relieved the nasal symptoms of AR and had positive effects in the treatment of AR.The mechanism of Granule-MaJie in the treatment of AR might be related to the effects of decreasing the histamine content in the plasma and inhibiting the content of TNF-a and IL-5 in the serum. |
