China--- the only one that keeps the culture continuous of the four old civilized countries. Family admonishment is a special one during millions of ancient works, and it is the staring cultural heritage of four oriental old civilized countries. Our ancient family admonishment can be dated back to long long time ago. We can learn something from《zhou yi .jia ren gua》written in dynasty Yin Zhou. During all the following dynasties family admonishment was produced, but most of them educated their offsprings from one point. For example, it is referred that in《Confucian Analects》Kongzi taught his son to learn poems and politeness, and Ma Yuan taught his nephew how to be a perfect man. It gets to be systemlized when《Yan Shi Family Admonishment》was written by Yan Zhitui of North Qi. So it is thought to be the ancestor of family admonishment. Hence, the following writers all took it as an example and emitated it, so family admonishment culture blooms. Accroading to《Comprehensive records of Chinese Collection》more than 117 kinds of family admonishments were published in China from Wei dynasty to the beginning of republic of China. It is unparalleled in the world. So the title of my paper just abstracts from the traditional family admomishment culture.The paper includes three parts:the first part is the prerequiste illustration, which analyses the basis, principle and methods of the traditional family precepts'modern value study. It is the logic prerequisite of the paper. The second part illustrates the meaning of traditional family precepts systematicly, including implied meaning, characteristic and function. This is the basis of the studing of the traditional family precepts'modern value. The third part illustrates the traditional family precepts'modern value, including five parts family ethics, social ethics, ecology ethics, politics ethics and consumption ethics.Our homeland is a socialism country. We are working hard to construct our country. Our country is changing structurally and rapidly. The task we face is to rejvvenate our great nationality, to the family admonishment will inspire us a lot. The family admonishment consist of experience, acadamic opinion, realistic apprasal and social ideal of the fore saint. Especially the classical works of famil admonishment has become the popular reading material of our society and nationality. The essence of philosophy of getting along with people influences our national spirits, molds our national disposition, so it forms the special national tradition. So family admonishment is our nationality cultural heritage, is worhty of treasuing, reorganization, studying and introducing. By studying the family admonishment we can learn politics, culture, education, ethics and morals of ancient China. It is helpful for teaching knowledge, educating the youny in morals and constructing advanced cultrue. It plays an important role to deal with the relationship between personal, family and society, to polish one's moral tutelage. So as to improving our nationality cultural quality, keeping our society stable, promoting our society civilized. In brief, abstracting and summarising the active ethic ingredient of family admonishment will be great helpful for modern construction of China.
