MethodsMethods: There are full-time college students as Research object and the information and dateare collected by literature analysis, interviews and surveys. Firstly interview 10 college students,according the interview results design an open questionnaire and then survey 100 collegestudents. According to reports in the literature, interview and the questionnaire investigationrealize the theoretical construction and the initial project of college students' psychologicalwell-being. The rationality of the questionnaire was tested repeatly by item analysis, exploratoryfactor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Based on this further investigates the presentsituation of college students'psychological well-being and explores the relationship amonggeneral self-efficacy, coping styles and the psychological well-being.Objective: To compile a measuring tool for Chinese college students' psychological well-being.To investigate the present situation of college students' psychological well-being and furtherexplore the relationship among general self-efficacy, coping styles and the psychologicalwell-being.Results: (1) The structure of university students' psychological well-being including 6 detentions:environmental adaptation, altruism investment, self harmonious, psychological growth, life goalsand interpersonal relations. The coefficient of internal consistency scale of internal is 0.920, halfreliability is 0.785; Construct validity was verified by confirmatory factor analysis, the results ofstructure model fitting index is X2/df<3,RMSEA<0.05,RMR<0.05 ,GFI, AGFI, TLI, CFI andcommission cases are above 0.80. These indexes prove the scale has good structural validity.(2)Chinese students' psychological well-being is well and in the middle to upper level.(3) Thedifferences in the college students' psychological well-being are significant in sex, differentprofession, living level, health level and whether one child (P < 0.05).(4) The differences in the college students' psychological well-being are not significant amongdifferent grades, family source and student cadres (P > 0.05), but there are some differences insome dimensions. (5) The general self-efficacy and coping style are correlated withpsychological well-being significantly; their contribution was 42.6% to college students'psychological well-being.Conclusions: (1) The university students' psychological well-being questionnaire can be used asan effective measurement tool on the level of happiness. (2) Different approaches should betaken in promoting college students' psychological well-being between different sex,professional, single children, and other aspects. (3) Improving self-efficacy and takingreasonable coping style can improve psychological well-being.
