Wordless Picture Book, "language" Charm

Wordless picture book is a type of picture book which conveys meaning through visual images and pictures other than texts. This paper relies on some key points in linguistics, psychology, and information communication, etc. to demonstrate that wordless picture books can still realize textual description through the unique graphic language, even though there are no texts, and can convey the author's intentional expression and thinking pattern by means of "atmosphere", tone, and intonation of the picture language. This paper hopes to, through the research on charms of "language" of wordless picture books, establish right opinions and creative mind towards picture books, which is obviously of positive significance for the field of picture books which is in urgent need of developing new subjects and new forms.
