Dmitri Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No.2 in G, a representative work in his late years, is a treasure of cello masterworks in 20th Century. This article is concerned about carding and analysis of the 1st Movement in various aspects such as social background of composing, music style, performing regularity, and technical difficulties etc., in order to have systematic performing annotation on relevant musical elements, and theoratical explanations to thoses significant structural connections between the 1st Movement and the whole work within grasp, on a basis of redemonstrating the writing purpose of the composer. |
