The cult of immortals became very prosperous in the era of Han,up to the emperor down to ordinary people all believe in it,around immortal faith gradually formed two big myth system,represented by the western mountains Mt.Kunlun and the mountains on the islands of the eastern sea, Penglai, Yingzhou and Fangzhang.Performance in the arts that emerged a large number of mountains images during this period, and with the different forms of expression on different media such as paintings on the lacquered coffin, silk painting,pictorial carving, the money tree bases,Boshanlu and so on.Looking from current materias,mountains as a subject in the Han dynasty is extremely popular.Though the worship of mountains can be documented in early texts such as the Shang shu, but it is during Han dynasty that mountains worship reaches its climax.During this time,the mountains became an important artistic imagination and creative motif, and the performance of the mountains have formed a relatively complete image system. Therefore, from the perspective of art history launch a system,further research on sacred mountains of Han dynasty and its related issues, will help people have a better understanding and awareness of the Han's ideological belief, funeral ideas, and the social culture.
