The Southern Cooperative as a organization long-term based on agriculture, faced agriculture and closely linked with the farmers, playing an important role on promoting the rural economy development, improving farmers' living standards, communicating with government and people and carrying out the policy of the government. This paper mainly discusses the Southern Cooperative under the background of a war. The paper has six parts. The first part is the introduction that discusses the purpose and meaning on the anti-Japanese period of the Yan An Southern Cooperative and analyzes current situation of academic research, meanwhile illustrates research ideas, methods and historical materials of the paper. The second part discusses the background of the Southern Cooperative from two aspects, one is economic conditions, another is the understanding of cooperatives. The third part expounds the Southern Cooperative's stages from establish to gradually develop into a comprehensive co-operatives based on the stocks, personnel, business and so on. The fourth part, through to analysis on the establishment and development process of the Yan An Southern Cooperative from economics, management, political perspective, and concludes the characteristics of the Southern Cooperative in policy, system model and management.The fifth part discusses the influence of the Southern Cooperative from promoting the rural economy development, improving the level of public life, developing border region cooperation career, as well as supporting the Anti-Japanese War these four aspects. The sixth part, analyses the advantages of the Southern Cooperative on solving rural problem and learning experience, promoting the spirit of it, making this kind of advantage get maximum play.
