A case study of frequently used words is the basic work of the study of the history of Chinese vocabulary. The research of derivation of commonly used ancient Chinese words is helpful to build the complete history of Chinese vocabulary.The thesis dealing with three groups of commonly used Chinese words that I have chosen:"疾,病","田,狩,猎","追,逐". Using the combination of quantitative and qualitative determined method to explore their circumstances and rules and cuases of evolution and development in ancient times. On the choice of language sources, I paid equally attention to the reference handed down from ancient times and reference unearthed.There are five chapters in this thesis. The first chapter is an introduction, elaborating the value of research of the thesis, concluding the history and current situation of frequently used words research, and giving a brief introduction to the object, method and language sources of the study. The body part of the thesis include chapter two, chapter three and chapter four, describing the evolutionary tract of the three groups:"疾,病","田,狩,猎","追,逐"in ancient times respectively. The chapter five is conclusion. I jumped to a conclusion of evolution of the three words groups and gave an explaination to the characteristics and causes of their evolution.
