The Hemingway heroes reflect the characters of Hemingway himself. The Hemingway hero is an important type of the figures that Hemingway created, who reflect the emotion, the opinion, and the attitude of Hemingway. By reading and analyzing the heroes, the emotion, the opinion, and the attitude of Hemingway's all can be clear.The Hemingway heroes closely related with Hemingway's life experience especially in the war. Hemingway's own life style influences that of his heroes. His WWI experience made him feeling lonely and mindlessly. Jack Barnes in "The Sun Also Rises" perplexed his lost and lonely, became a true portraiture of the "lost generation" in America. The wounds of the war not disappeared with the time. Hemingway's anti-war sentiment embodied in his second novel "A Farewell to Arms". Henry's escape from the battlefield was this kind of "rebellion". Then, Hemingway experienced war again; he joined in the Spanish civil war and WWII. The new war against fascism in the haze, disperse the writer heart. Jordan was a brave anti-fascist hero in the novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls" that written in 1940. Hemingway's life comprehension and accumulation was reflected on the super tough figure, Santiago in "The Old Man and The Sea".The Hemingway heroes vividly reflect Hemingway's opinions.
