"kong Cong Zi On The Book" Study

"Lun shu" is an article in the book named "Kong Cong Zi". Its main contents is confucius' interpretation about "Shang Shu(an ancient book about history)" which was presented when he talked with his disciples or the various kings of different countries. The article is highly valueable for the study of "Shang Shu". However, it has not been used well by scholars by now just because of the problem of its reliability.A scholar named Wang Su in Wei Dynasty cited the words of "Kong Cong Zi" first in his woks "Sheng Zheng Lun". Wang was suspected of being "Kong Zi Jia Yu". The two books' contents were similar in some places. As a result, there are scholars who have suspected by now that "Kong Cong Zi" is also forged by Wang. Zhu xi who was a famous scholar in Song Dynasty pointed out that "Kong Cong Zi" was forged by people in Latter Han Dynasty. There are two reasons as follows. First, no one talked about "kong cong zi" in Former Han Dynasty. Second, he considered the book to be the fake by its usage. "Kong Cong Zi" has been treated to be the fake by scholars since Song Dynasty and few people pay attention to it.In recent years, with the appearance of the underground literature, "Kong Cong Zi" has been re-examined by scholars. Professor Fu Yashu give it great appraisal for its value. Professor Huang Huaixin argue that the author of the former eighteen articles expect the eleventh one named "Xiao Rr Ya" can be Kong Fu in all probability. The author was considered to be Kong Fu before is all right and the book is also not forged. May be there was someone who added something to its contents. His argue is based on his detailed research."Lun Shu" has been abondoned by many scholars becasuse of its reliability. But now the value of this article in the study of "Shang Shu Xue" has not been neglected any more. On the basis of the credibility of its contents, historical information surveyed by the article should be fully utilized.Articles of "Shang Shu" which can been seen in "Lun Shu" are "Yao Dian", " Shun Dian", "Da Yu Mo", "Gao Yao Mo", "Yi Ji", "Yu Gong", "Pan Geng", "Tai Shi", "Hong Fan", "Wu Gao", "Wu Yi", "Lv Xing". Besides, the article named "Wei Gao Zong Bao Shang Jia Wei" is not included in present "Shang Shu" and it should belong the lost part of "Shang Shu".Nowadays, the main point of academic circle is that "Kong Cong Zi" is unreliable. Therefore, generally speaking, the study of this book is not enough. The research of scholars is mostly from the perspective of the book and detailed analysis of single article is less.Based on the ancient and modern scholars' research, my peper has done intensive study on the article. The methods are:comparing the citation in the article with present "Shang Shu"; comparing the records of the article with similar contents in other literature; comparing confucius'interpretation with "Kong Zhuan". It can be safely draw the conclusion that "Lun Shu" is reliable. The conclusion suggests not only "Kong Cong Zi" is not fake but also present "Shang Shu" is not forged by other people. Speaking at least, the contents of "Shang Shu" related to "Lun Shu" is sure to be passed by "Kong Anguo" and these are reliable. As for ideology, the contents of the article reflect some important thoughts of confucius such as in the aspect of "Shu Xue", measures of administration, relations between morality and punishment and ritual.
