David Hume (1711-1776) is greatest philosopher of England figures in the 18th century. His thinking has influenced Kant, also the other philosophers. His ethical views just like his philosophy have an effect on Utilitarianism and logical positivism's ethics. This dissertation will analyze his ethical views with his Epistemology and Sentimentalism. The main purpose is to find out the origin of moral, and why do we generally approve of good and disapprove evil and so on.Hume is impacted by Hobbes, Shaftesbury, Hutcheson and Butler, also he develops their Sentimentalism. When Hume probes into the origin of moral in two ways, one is The Artificial Virtues; the other is The Natural Virtues. When he demonstrates the origins of them, then the moral's origin suddenly appeared. Hume's law and Sympathy is Hume's weapon when he proves the origin of Virtues. They are very important to Hume.Hume's writing adopts the method that "destroying and establishing happens simultaneously" in writing technique with evaluating rationalistic ethical views, simultaneously advancing the author's own views. This way enhances his proof's persuasion.
