Private Photography Review And Cultural Interpretation

Photography was born in France in 1839. Then, it develops quickly in the world and benefits all mankind. Photography plays an important role as vector, language and gateway. With the development of the society, the politics, the economy and the culture, the art form of photography also keeps changing. The influence of consumer values on people is obvious. And the pursuit of personality is growing."Private photography"was born with this background. It doesn't follow the standard principles and forms which traditional photography pursues, such as the standard composition of a photo. Private photography becomes a new generation of "visual language"and is considered a sub-culture.This paper combs the origin and the development of private photography and focus on Chinese private photography and female private photography, and tries to analyze this phenomenon to reveal the underlying social and cultural connotations.
