It has been a very controversial subject on the origin of Fu since the ancient times. This thesis takes the Fu theorists'Fu origin from Han dynasty to Six dynasties as the research subject to find out why the origin of Fu is explored and the focus is not on the discussion of the origin of Fu but on the exploration of the origin of Fu and on what kind of ideological origin and research method are displayed in the process of exploration. It is considered that the cultural tradition of Confucian rectification of names is the profound theoretical origin of Fu exploration. But the style of article debate caused by the literary self-consciousness in Six Dynasties is the immediate cause of Fu exploration. After its ideological and academic origin is defined, we choose to explain a few kinds of popular theories on the origin of Fu and put emphasis on the research on the literary thoughts expressed in these origin theories: Mei-Ci and Yan-Zhi, discussion theory on the ancient poetries; Yuan Fen and LiCi, discussion theory on Chu Ci; Entertainment and Game, discussion theory on metaphor. Through the research and elaboration, the author explores the cause and effect of the theory, discusses the fundamental of all theories, finds out whether it's Fu exploration or the realization of the essence of Fu, and discovers what kind of literary thoughts are expressed. Everything from the background of the origin of the theory to the theoretical connotation of Fu origin theory is profoundly discussed.
