Shang and Zhou are two different nationalities. Shang originated in the East and Zhou originated in the West. When Taiwang Zhou was the king, Zhou nationality had been mixed with Rong and Di, and less civilized than Shang. But at the age of dynasties alternation from Shang to Zhou, Zhou nationality developed rapidly and conquered Shang by force of arms eventually. This thesis holds the view that the policy of carrying out the intermarriage to the vassals of the East from the period of Taiwang for three generations indirectly obtained Zhou the civilization from the East, which lead Zhou to be strong. To prove this point, the thesis focuses on the investigation of geographic distribution of the Eastern vassals intermarried with the king of Zhou at the period of dynasties alternation from Shang to Zhou.
