Kyrgyzstan is a"small neighbor"on the northwest of China. In recent years, the unremarkable nation has aroused extensive attention and discussion from the international society due to its social unrest. Admittedly, the causes of this phenomenon are complex, but the situation and trend of a nation has an unbreakable kinship to its social history and traditional structure.Up to now, specialized studies of the traditional social structure of Kyrgyzstan are still in an immature stage in the Central Asia research field in China, since the current studies are only limited to researches on Kyrgyz ethic group within our nation. After the countries in Central Asia won their independence, they developed increasingy with their own characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the depth and breadth of research on them, and to conduct deeper and more detailed studies on each individual country and its dominant people. This thesis attempts to fully present the organizational structure of traditional society of Kyrgyz people, mainly including the tribe, family and marriage. Kyrgyz belongs to the nomadic peoples, and the well-preserved social organizational structure characterized by tribes still has a profound influence on the nation's politics. Based on the interpretation, the author will explore the internal and intrinsic relations between them, and try to use the relations to analyze some affairs happened in Kyrgyzstan in recent years which seem to be incidental but actually inevitable, hoping to give some enlightenment and reflection to the current social development of our nation.
