The naturalism is one of the most important literary genre in the history of the nineteenth-century french literature; it had a significant impact on french literature at that time; it gave birth to surrealism and other twentieth-century literary genre, and set off a global naturalism trend. Zola is a standard-bearer of the naturalism. He and a few young writer around him form the representatives of the naturalism trend - Médan Group, and published their magnum opus Les Soirées de Médan. Although the members of the group gradually removed from the naturalism after the group was established in the near of the publication of Les Soirées de Médan, it still is a naturalist literature characteristics work.This thesis put Médan Group and Les Soirées de Médan as the research objects, expecting to make clear the history of the naturalism group in the literary history on the basis of the analysis of all of their figures and their group works.This thesis is divided into four parts, the first part is a brief description of naturalism, and the second part is an introduction of Médan Group and its individual members, the third part is the analysis of Les Soirées de Médan and the various short stories included in this collection, and the fourth part is a conclusion, also the end of Médan Group. These six novels have the same creative theme of war, there are some things in common, but they are also distinctive, each different point of view of literature is reflected on the different technique of expression, showing the different literature trend of each writer.Zola never asked his young friends to have been complied with naturalism, however, the truth that Céard, Hennique and other who betrayed on Zola in Dreyfus events, is still mortifying. In a certain sense, the naturalism defense is like a war, people put into it easily, but with different goals, they will go separate ways after the war ended.
