Shen Kuo Theological Concept Study

Shen Kuo was a famous scientist~politician. strategist of the ?Song Dynasty. Meng Xi Bi Tan, one of his works is very famous ? in China science history. So far, the research about Shen Kuo is very profound, but the study about his thinking in theology is still not enough. Though many thesis have been published in the field of Shen Kuo抯 study. few was about his thinking in theology. Only in 1970s, a few thesis involved this being published~ but most of these thesis just firmly believe Shen Kuo was a materialist because of the limitation of the times. Most articles didn抰 tell in detail as for questions such as what did Shen Kuo bilieve, what didn抰? why did he believe, or why didn抰? what was the difference comparing with other people at his times? How did he treat with ghosts and ? gods? and so on. This article is composed of two parts: First, to discuss Shen Kuo抯 thinking in theology from Buddhism~ Taoism~ Superstition. At the same time, to query a few traditional ideas. Second. from five angles to inquire into the reason that formed Shen Kuo抯 thinking in theology.
