Graphic Design In The Form Of Visual Tension

The tension in design existing among each element belongs to the range of visual sense and consciousness. The sensitivity of humanbeing to tension is indispensable. We must hold it and put it into use in design and creation.This paper discusses the tension of shape, the tension coming out of the action between shape in a certain space and frame or other shape and the psychological tension from shape. First, different shape has different tension. Even the same shap might show different tension when it is used to explain different thing. Second, the tension is affected by the difference of space position of shape, the deviation of direction and the action between shape in a certain space and frame or other shape. Moreover, shape affects not only visual sense, but also human psychology.
