From a relatively all-sided perspective, this paper illustrates the theory of Conversational Implicature put forward by the American philosopher, H.P.Grice, and discusses some of its promotional effect or inspirations brought about on language teaching as well. First of all , I start with the concept of conversational implicature by introducing its definition, nature and importance. Then I turn to explain how the theory in which conversational implicature is produced may help the hearer in communication understand the speaker intended meaning embedded intangibly in his/her utterances. In other words, comments on its core contents~~cooperative principles are made in time . Through continued efforts, I present two kinds of classifications in terms of conversational implicature , and then distinguish them from their conventional counterparts with which people are easy to get a lot of confusions. Also in this part, broader discussions of the properties of conversational implicature are introduced in detail so as to get the readers to fully grasp the necessity of advocating this saying or that of drawing it out alone from the linguistic meaning as a whole. Second, the conversational implicature theory is just in its early development as a result of which there should be some ulumprovements waiting for being further revised or recompensed. In view of this, the primary additions are inserted next with contents covering two sides: simplification and expansion. Last, I talk about the influence that H.P.Grices theory may have on the orientation of development in language teaching and techniques of concrete vocabulary building in students during the class. Throughout the paper, the concept of conversational implicature belongsresonably to the central clue for narration that readers focus mind on. Its production is caused by the searious dislocation between linguistic forms and their function in practice. Thus, teachers need to bear this point in mind every now and then when giving performances.
