My research into the use of metacognition in Oral English Teaching &Learning via Multimedia & Network Technology (MNT-OETL) suggests thatlearners need to become aware of the process of MNT-OETL as well as use themetacognitive assistance of MNT.The results testified by the experimental studies are: the effect of OETLin M7NT settings is better than that in classroom-teaching settings, esp. in termsof pronunciation & inlonation and fluency; metacognitive assistance of MNThelps learners to better use MNT in OETL and shows a great correlation withthe outcome of OETL; the learner's metacognitive awareness can make anadjustment of the utilization of MNT in the process of OETL.To sum up, we'd better develop the learners' metacognitive awareness aswell as the MNT's metacognitive assistance in OETL. |
