Culture is a product of the interaction between natural environments and human's activities while the geographical environmental diversity is the basis of multi-culture. The conflict and fusion among multi-culture is the basic means of the cross-cultural communication, it is also the important motivity that leading to the cultural creation and development. Yunnan is the south-west frontier province of our country which has the most complex multi-ethnic groups and different types of culture. It was almost thousands of years since Han-culture communicated with Yunnan's ethnic culture. Because of its main-stream culture's position and advanced cultural system, Han-culture deeply influenced the ethnic culture, and now had formed the integrated cultural relationship. Now the ethnic culture and the relationship between Han-culture and the ethnic culture have become the studying focuses of culturology, ethnicity, history, and geography, etc. Further more, great academic achievement have been made by now, yet most of them had based on the traditional qualitative methods of philosophy, culturology, history, ethnicity, sociology, etc. In order to revealed the general cultural integrated characteristics between Han-culture and the ethnic culture in Yunnan frontier regions this paper chose 7 frontier regions as the study regions, and also chose the ethnic people as the study objects. From the spatial analysis point of view, this paper tried to break the traditional study rules and set up a new study system that is : on the basis of qualitative analysis of the cultural conflict and fusion theories as well as the characteristics of Han-culture, the author set up a system of criterion to judge cultural integral degree and made the cultural questionaires, then investigated in the frontier ethnic cultural regions in Yunnan, when analysed the data of the questionaries, the author used quantitative statistical methods and built up an assessing mathematic model, then to find the result that the cultural integral characteristics between Han-culture and ethnic culture was harmonious rather than contradictive, but on the other hand, the differences were also found in different ethnic regions and ethnic groups. In order to solve the problems which influenced the cultural integration in Yunnan, the author forwarded two models: multi-culture integration and ethnic cultural sustainable development, finally, some suggestion were given to improve cultural integration. This paper is composed of 5 parts. The first part is the theoretic basis of this paper. The second part is about this paper's framework and study process. The third part is about the basis work of regional study: analysis of the Han-culture's characteristics, building of criterion system using to assess the cultural integration decree, made the cultural questionaire and investigation, then set up the assessing mathematic models. The fourth part is the most important part of all: the specific characteristics and differences of the cultural integration between Han-culture and ethnic culture in Yunnan frontier regions was analysed, then the author concluded the general characteristics, finally gave them thoroughly explanation. The fifth part is about the problems and c...
