Body Semantic And Pragmatic

In this paper we systematically studied and analyzed the languages meaning over 1, 000 body ?words collected from "Modern Chinese Dictionary" We exposed the generality of languages meaning in constructing words with different organs of human and classified and examined them from the internal form. Language is the carrier of native culture. Un- veiling the face of language we can see the abundant confor- mations of Chinese culture. The specific conformation of cul- ture can limit the symbols of language. Moreover, from the point of language -using the paper elaborated and analyzed many subjects, such as body-words as quantifier, the spe- cial usage of noun of body-words, body-words denoting posture, based on examinations and analyses of body- words. Therefore, we can fully and thoroughly understand the body-words and expound them in more detail based on the investigations of both languages meaning and language using.
