During the world's developing course to the modem civilization, aestheticism is believed to be a common way to get out of the devision between perception and reason by most people under different cultural background. Aestheticism doesn't mean the arts merely, but mean a kind of philosophy about life, a view about the value tending to replace man's all vital activities with aesthetic activities. As the negative effect of the modernity getting intense, the aestheticism's promise to deliver human's agony has been cherished by many who suffered from the agony of modernity, especially by the intellectuals, thus makes the aestheticism becoming a kind of world-wide cultural background. During the course of aestheticism development, Nietzsche gave a tremendous influence to it.Based on a research on Nietzsche's view of "arts delivering life", this paper tries to give an overall study on Nietzsche's aestheticism by analising, synthesizing, comparing and contrasting, so a thorough understanding of Nietzsche's thoughts can be reached.
