Legal system is one of the most important social systems in ancient China, however the study on TEN-NATIONS' legal system and society has always been very weak. This paper, encircling law system, makes an attempt to concretely review the basic content and evolvement of TEN-NATIONS' legal system in the background of Tang&Song's evolution, with the connection beween TEN-NATIONS' society and law system as the goal, and tries to discover the characteristic of this era.The paper is composed of six chapters. First chapter discusses resumptively legislation of TEN-NATIONS, and expounds all kinds of social factors in TEN-NATIONS influencing its legal thought. The next five chapters does a textual research into the concrete content of five departmental laws and their implementation. Exactly speaking, these five chapters draw the outline of TEN-NATIONS' legal system respectively from administrative law, criminal law, economic law, civil code, and procedural law, tell the change of departmental laws taking place in the society of Tang&Song, and analyse the historical source causing the change. TEN-NATIONS' law carries on the law of Tang Dynasty, mainly being Mid&Later Tang's law, and makes adjustments timingly. The impact on the later history of ancient China that these adjustments produce are not allowed to be ignored.
