Wong Kar-wai Film Spectacle Analysis

The research object of this thesis is Hong Gong director Wang Jiawei and his seyen films up to now.Wang Jiawei is a sparkling star of Chinese filmdom of recent years. He has created seven films since he entered Hong Gong filmdom in the 80's. Each film is rated as classics. This has not only established his important position in Hong Kong filmdom and even whole Chinese filmdom, but also caused repercussions in the international filmdom.This thesis spreads out the discussion from such three aspects: the characteristic of subject, the innovation of the film language and a series of repercussions that Wang Jiawei's film caused in the society civilization domain. This thesis analyses the films of Wang Jiawei, and makes every effort to explain the marvelous spectacle characteristic of Wang Jiawei's film reasonably.This thesis not only analyses the artistic characteristic of Wang Jiawei's film fully, sums up its artistic law, excavates its deep intension, shows its unique explores consciousness and innovation spirit, but also studies the important position of Wang Jiawei's film in the filmdom and society civilization domain from the angle of sociology.
