Chu Wang-hua Piano Music Study

In this dissertation , I studied piano music by Chu Wanghua comprehensively by consulting a plenty of data on background and analyzing works in "CHU WANGHUA SELECTED WORKS FOR THE PIANO " in order to discuss the characters of .piano music by Chu Wanghua and its status and effect in Chinese piano music. The main results are as follows:1. I found out personal temperament and producing background of Chu Wanghua in order to study piano music by Chu Wanghua comprehensively through his life and producing story.2. Works of piano music by Chu Wanghua were analyzed from content and exhibiting techniques of music such as color of tune, harmonic texture, rhythm and balance of power.3. .1 summarized characters of piano music by Chu Wanghua in his different producing phase in order to seek for the track of formation of "Chinese style " and dig out two aesthetics characters-connotation and nature.4. Chu Wanghua's contributions to Chinese piano music were as follows: Chu Wanghua enriched Chinese piano music with a plenty of piano works with different styles; Chu Wanghua tried his best to spread and popularize Chinese piano music; Chu Wanghua provided precious composing experience for history of music and subsequent composers with his own characters; Chu Wanghua made full use of his own predominance and kept a stiff upper lip to promote development of Chinese piano musicIn conclusion , Piano music by Chu Wanghua not only had commonness of excellent Chinese piano music ,but also promoted the development of Chinese piano music greatly with its particular personality and charm.
