The Chinese classic poems and the Chinese classic music have a long tradition and a close relationship with each other. Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye is the title of a masterpiece in Chinese classic poems, as well as one in Chinese classic music. After hundred years of investigation, people have now a deep understanding of the poem Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye in many aspects. However, with respect to the music of the same title, there is still disagreement and hot debate. In particular, what is the relationship of Ruoxu Zhang's poem and the music of the same title? Or more generally, what is the relationship between a poem and a piece of music, if they have the same title or the same origin? Is the relationship fixed, or variant? How should we evaluate the relationship and the variation, if any? In this paper, we attempt to present a first analysis. Through this analysis, we wish to promote the comparative research of music and literature in the Chinese cultural setting, so that we can understand Chinese traditional music and classic literature more deeply.
