The western feminism came to the feminality stage after the femininity's stage and feminism's stage. Now feminist begins to pay attention to the constructing of female's mental. They start to study the female self-consciousness .The thesis put female on "man" position and make inquiry into female self-consciousness. Further author analyses four manifestation's forms and uses text to illustrate the point.The thesis is divided into three parts. First, it starts from the definition of "man" and illustrates the essence of the man. The existence of "man" is keeping forging ahead and "freedom spirit" is the essence of man .The consciousness of man begins to develop during man recognize the "freedom spirit". Self-consciousness produces when consciousness develops on high level. Then author focuses on "female". The "female" belongs to "human being", so they have human characteristic. But because female special physiology factor brings about that they have a special position in society. And they form a particular self-consciousness distinguished male, during they pursuing freedom. Second author analyses the female self-consciousness and discusses why female using their body to recognize the world. The special way of recognition the world brings about female specific characteristics and particular self-consciousness. Independence consciousness, anxiety-consciousness, carefulness consciousness and revere consciousness to life. The four consciousnesses are displayed in feminist literature. At the end, the author discusses the relationship between female self-consciousness and the essence of man. Four manifestation forms of female self-consciousness show a process that female pursues the freedom. It isn't end that man wants to get freedom. With the development of female self-consciousness, woman will have a high aim of freedom. Any single sex can't accomplish the work, which we study the essence of man. Through male and female communicating andunderstanding, human being will recognize themselves better.
