The process of literature writing has two sides at the same time: one is the writing process which is visible , the other is mental movement which is invisible but important in writing. In fact , the activity of mental movement is the basis of the litrerature writing. Image activity, as a very vital part of mental movement, does something important in the literature writing. This article which studies the image activity in literature writing includes the following parts:Image' s appearing and the apperceiving of writer in his life; remembering of images and accumulating of writing material; the recalling about images is absolutely necessary in all the process of writing; the ways to process images mainly have these aspects: simplification and detailing, lap over and expanding, resolving and combining.In lierature the emotion is abstract and the author expresses his emotion by describing the images. In another word, the images embody the emotion which is passed to the reader by the writer.
