Research On The "Recalling Style" Prose And Its Spreading

The ancient Chinese literature is always the carrier of the essence of the traditional culture. Reading carefully Chinese ancient literature works and understanding the meaning of the rich Chinese literature is one of some ways which can spread effectively to the world. The works of "recalling type" aims to present the excellent traditional Chinese culture in front of people by courtesy of its uniqueness with various literary forms as the carrier and documentary description of the family life as its main theme. It reflects the real life during the three hundred years of the Ming and the Qing Dynasty, serving as a better model and document for the world to know the Chinese society. It is not only the inheritance and development of the mourning literature but also the provision of the materials for the novel writing. It expresses the personality as well as the resistance of the scholars and females of those days again the feudal society and their wish to pursue the freedom and good life. The works of "recall type" can enhance the world to better understand the traditional Chinese culture and restore the features of the Chinese society. However, among various works of "recalling style", only Six Episodes in My Life has been translated into English, which is why it is necessary to show more concern to the research and spreading of them. The essay suggests we should organize and study the major elements of the "recalling style" based on the current status of it to make a further analysis of its significance for the diffusion of the traditional Chinese culture by proposing the author’s personal insights. The essay consists of the following five chapters:The first chapter is made up of two sections targeting the origin and root of the "recalling style" as well as the demarcation of its style. According to the degree of fluency of the language and the lyricism of the content, the "recalling style" will be defined as the lyric prose;The second chapter focuses on the artistic features of the "recalling style" literature by making an analysis from such three aspects as the natural and casual expressions, the charming ladies with both beauty and intelligence and narrative expression of the emotion;In the third chapter, the author will begin with the emotions expressed in the work and then make a detailed analysis of flat household trifles and the ideal marriage full of romance of freedom respectively;The fourth chapter concerns about the values and significance of the works of "recalling style" for today’s Chinese literature and humanistic studies;The fifth chapter includes the analysis of the contribution of the works of "recalling style" has made for the spreading of the ancient Chinese literature as its representative. It can not only help the world know better of the uniqueness of the Chinese literature stylistically but also spread the traditional Chinese culture and restore the country in the trustworthy way. It also enhances the national pride of the Chinese people and creates the cultural and economic benefit. Based on the analysis of the necessity of cultural diffusion, the author also summarizes the most effective ways to promote the works of "recalling style".
