The Pre-Raphaelity Brotherhood, which was founded in 1848, was a important school with rebell significations in art history of England. They revolt to the conservatism and anticipate to innovation for painting. Their Open-Air Paintings which complyed with naturalistic principle liberated line and colour in painting from inanimate academic mode. Pre-Raphaelitists had not developed their art experiments to the degree of modern art, because their shortcomings of personalities and confinements of background of their time.We consider the Pre-Raphaelity as "a middle form" between Classical art represented by academism art and modern art, concentrating on the competitions between the academism and Pre-Raphaelitists , studying the history of Pre-Raphaelity movement and his Naturalistic principle , comparing Pre-Raphaelitiy art with modern art in form and content meanings from four parts, concluding their contributions in art history in the end.
