The Pre - Qin Confucian Humanistic Ideas

With the development of the society ,the idea that the masses is the Most important is gradually established into the public," humanism"also emerges with the tide of the times. Although scholars have different pinions with the definition and the contents of the humanism , none of them can deny that there are abundant humanist thoughts in ancient Chinesetraditional culture. As the main current of traditional culture in ancient China, Confucianism based on the opinion that humane is the most nobiliary animal, not only would he pay attention to his own moral uplifting without thought of others ,then became the outside king and the inside saint. During the history before Qin Dynasty Confucianism lay foundation stone for the later humanist thoughts. My thesis intends the Confucian humanism which occurrent from that period of time, studying how the Confiicianist thought of the contents, position and worth of humanity .What they are engaged in is the history of thoughts, not the social background . So in order to get rid of the narrow mind of most scholars , in the first part of my text found out four causes that the Confucian humanism come from ,that is, the influence of humanism in the primitive religion upon the God-person idea ; the special geography of Lu country is its social soil; The rites and music is its direct source; that the collapses of The rites and chance.In the second part, I divided Confucian humanism into three different aspects : theory about the relation between nature and man ; theory about human nature ; theory about moral cultivation of the Benevole nt Gentleman who can control himself in comformity with the rules of propriety. Among them ,the nature and man 's relation is the sillof its theories ,it is thought that the nature and man is an unite as one ,the harmony of Heaven and Person is its main idea ,neither the harmonybetween Heaven and Person nor the division between Heaven and Person deny this point of view.In fact" humality" is concrete to speak is a " the R ites ";The realization of ideal personality is the ultimate end value. The archives of Chu from Guodian provide a new situation about how the argument over the natural human nature grow into the the argument over themoral human nature.All the idealist give fate,personality and humankind a ethical definition .The design for an ideal personality is that what we called it " the inside saint and the outside king" .The way of the moral austerities and the perfection manner of personal value is the austerities of body ,soul and moral ,the restraints and contraction of desire and moral austerities .Confucianism own personality state of conduct and actions of sage and virtuous man, gentleman, namely usually the for saying of, they returned to further bring upped to transfer the ideal personalitied into the reality.This text at the third part discussed what an important part the Confucianism plays .In the content ,1 point out that Confucianism humanity not only have the deep theories value, but also have very strong fulfillment value and the modern meaning. But, demand its negative effect us too should not neglect, won their achievements as a result of herishing the ideal of a Benevolent Gentleman we modern humane should grasp the value direction in traditional China philosophy and some problems relevant to subject value . During the construction of our ideal personality , we should set the Benevolent Gentleman as the object for moral cultivation for the purpose of guilding people to develop moral characters in all-round way search for the comprehensive value of truth ,mercy, beauty and interest , search for the harmony of Heaven and Personal ideal society . To become a gentleman who not only would pay attention to his own moral uplifting but also exert influence on the government ,only in this way can we realization our self value and the target of social idea.
