This paper discusses mainly about the loneliness of the characters in the novels written by the famous writer Bai Xianyong.The first part demonstrates three kinds of lonely characters by their diffrent expressions.The second part discuss the subjective reason of the writer.Being a TaiWan scholar,an American professor,and a homosexuality, his own loneliness makes a notable impact to his novel character.
