Faulkner Bible Prototype

William Faulkner (1897-1962) was one of the greatest writers in the 20th century. Since he wined the Nobel Prize for literature of 1949,he has gained higher and higher comments. Now, the scholars who study Faulkner are the most except those studying Shakespeare. Most of those scholars focused their eyes on the narrative and social and racial ideology in Faulkner's fiction. While only very few scholars noted the link between Faulkner's fiction and Biblical culture. This thesis based on Northrop Frye's archetype theory of criticism and the link between Faulkner's fiction and Biblical culture. I try to interpret Faulkner's fiction from a new angle. I try to study human nature in Faulkner's fiction. This thesis include two parties, one is Biblical archetype in Faulkner's fiction; the other is human nature in Faulkner's fiction.
