Green consumption is a new kind of consuming concept and lifestyle. It is arisen with the deepness of environmental crisises and the change of people's ideas and demands, and has become the trend of the world's consuming development and becoming the main melody of our people's consumption. At present, the research of green consumption has involved in many kinds of subjects and many angles of view, and the research level is deeper and deeper. This article tries to study the green consumption from the view of eco ~ economic ethics. It points out that eco- economic ethics has some values of instruction, restrainment and standard to the green consumption, and on the other hand, the model and the theory's perfect of the green consumption is also useful to the bio - nomic ethics. They supplement and influence each other. The preface introduces the course of the green consumption' s producing and the state of its international development. The first part, from many other definitions , summarizes its definition, and points out that it can be divided into two kinds, which are the shallow green consumption and the deep green consumption, and initiates the deep green consumption, and then analyses its essence and features. The second part analyses emphatically the basic principles it abides by, such as the harmonious development of the ecology, economy and society, the combination of loving, utilizing and protecting the nature, and the combination of the generational fairness and the inter - generational fairness. The third part analyses the main norms it follows to, such as cherishing and treasuring the goodsand trying to be frugal, trying to be proper,suitable and moderate, andtransforming the established social traditions and trying to be rational. The fourth part analyses its great values to the human' s sustainable development, the improvement of their thinking and moral quality, and the progress of the social civilization. At last, in the afterwords, the article introduces the defects and imperfections of our green consumption, and tries to put forward many useful suggestions.
