| It' s already a long time the opinion that the capital of Tang was located in Southern Bo appeared, and there' re many scholars agree with it in academia at present. But the new archaeological observations in the Eastern Henan are crucial to reappraise the opinion. In the first part, the thesis enumerated the literal record related to the Southern Bo opinion, then retrospected the history of archaeologizing in the Eastern Henan as well as sumed up its achievement. Subsequently, the author analyzed the materials had been investigated and digged out in the Eastern Henan during 2002. Based on it, the author combed and summarized the archaeological cultural order combined with the former accomplishments. The author also discussed some questions according to the archaeological practice in the Eastern Henan. First, the cultural remains when Tang was located in Bo couldn't be found in the area, so the Southern Bo opinion should be negated completely while the Zheng Bo opinion is true. Secondly, we discovered the pre-Shang dynasty cultural remains of Zhanghe pattern in this area. It's helpful to study the origin of the Shang tribe. The ancestors ought to have lived in the Shangqiu area once. Moreover, Shangqiu was in Yueshi Culture area in the period of Xia and Shang, and then was replaced by the Shang culture in the phase of Bai-jiazhuang.Meanwhile, although the author argued the Southern Bo opinion was unauthentic, there are still a lot of things to do with the archaeologizing in the Eastern Henan. If we hope to solve the problems such as the specific distribution of the pre-Shang culture, the integrity of archaeological cultural order, etc, we must depend on the archaeologizing in the Eastern Henan and make great efforts on it. |
