"Yi Yu Ti" jottings are a series of prose for the purpose of remembering deceased wife in Ming and Qing dynasties, which hasn't been minded enough at present. It stems from the article of written by Maoxiang, ends to the article of . Generally speaking, this kind of jottings recalls domestic trifles expressing the deep love between the author and his wife. It is of specific value to the history of Chinese literature. I want to take "Yi Yu Ti" jottings as an object of study, so as to find out the regularity of literary development.My thesis consists of six parts.In the introduction, I summarize "Yi Yu Ti" jottings' elementary features, such as special content, distinct ideology and far-reaching imagery.In the first chapter, I discuss the features of , which can be summarized as describing domestic trifles, portraying image of the hostess and laying bare the author's true feelings.In the second chapter, I discuss the succession and exceeding between and other texts written after the middle of Qing dynasty.In the third chapter, I focus on the social backgrounds, from which I explored the cause that "Yi Yu Ti" jottings evolved at the late feudal society period. One is the thought of late Ming dynasty; the other is the appearance of female literary groups at the Ming and Qing dynasty.In the forth chapter, I discussed "Yi Yu Ti" jottings' literary basis, from which I pointed out the influence of the autobiography, jottings, memorial poem and familiar essays on it.In the ending I reveal the history and literary meaning of "Yi Yu Ti" jottings.
