Study Of The Roman Empire Province System

The province plays an important role in Roman Empire. But it is not enough of the current study of the provincial system of Roman in our country. The Roman Provincial System's origination developing, improvement, declining and the effects in each Roman era, especially the resign of Roman Empire were carefully and overally studied in this thesis.The whole thesis includes three parts, which are preface, body and conclusion.The body includes three section. Section One elucidates the governing of the provincial system during the Roman Republican. System by Augustus, the governing of provinces by other heads. Section Two demonstrates and the effection of provincial system in the early stage of Roman Empire. With regard to the reform of Augustus's provincial system, the thesis elucidates the background and the content of the reform. Section Three lays emphasis on the reform of Diocretianus's provincial system and the accerleration of the decaying of Roman Empire caused by the provincial system.The conclusion summerizes and comments on the whole thesis.
