Emotion regulation means individuals change their emotion state in physiology, experience and expressed action, through some strategies and mechanism. Developmental psychologists believe that emotion regulation is the core part of children' s social emotion development. It can greatly affect children' s later development of emotion, characteristics and socialization.It is thought that children' s emotion regulation is closely related to their temperament and behavior problems. So this article means to analyze and discuss their relations, measured by CBCL, NYLS Children' s Temperament Inventory, and self-compiled Children' s Emotion Regulation Strategies Inventory.We discover that: (1) There is remarkable developmental difference in preschool children' s emotion regulation strategies. (2) Cognitive reconstrution, problem solving and alternative action are positive regulation methods, and their usage increase with age! Passive dealing and venting are negative regulation methods, and their usage decrease with age. (3) To some extent, children' s venting method can predict their behavior problems.
