This thesis will discuss them.In chapter One, I analyze his starting point of novel creating .1 find his native land has a deep impact on his novels. Mo Yan is unable to break away from this land------Gaomi northeast countryside. He has been seeking for his spiritual homeland. Sohis Female Image is a unique imagination of women in his native land.In chapter Two and Three, I discuss four kinds of Female Image in his novels: Mother Image, Sister Image, Wife Image, Phantasmagoric woman Image. Mother Image is the most important among these. Mo Yan has not only sung a song for mother, but also expressed love to his native land. Of course, he has expressed his own view on Chinese society. Sister Image reflects a sentimental love story; Wife Image reflects a fleeing story; and Phantasmagoric woman Image reflects a mysterious illusion. According to different life situation, he shows his different understand to the relation between man and woman.In chapter Four, I analyze the specific tactics in his novels. His unique imagination is different from the other male writers. He depicts different types of women; he writes the body of these women; he imagines them as other animals. All will be discussed.
