The "a + Complex Trend" Format Syntactic And Semantic Characteristics Of Study

This is a dissertation about the structure of "Adjective + Compound Directional words" ("A+复趋" for short) in modem mandarin. It mainly consists of three parts including the foreword, the main part and the further discussion.The Foreword gives the statement about the background and the purpose of our research.The main part is divided into four chapters: Chapter 1 firstly describes the primary form and the variant forms with the meaning of "possibility, realization and possession". Then we make a description of the collocational constituents and the syntactic function of "A+复趋".Chapter 2 focuses on the quantitative character of Adjective, We deem that Adjective has the semantic features of [ - quantified], [ +continuant], which allow Adjective have its own dynamic form. And Chapter 3 is on the Compound Directional Words' function of indicating direction. Compound Directional Words, as the marker of Adjective's dynamic form, accomplish the function of indicating the "direction" of changing.Chapter 4 explores the dynamic meaning of "A+复趋" by comparing three internal forms, "A起来", "A 下来" and "A下去", and by comparing with the similar form "A+体助词(着/了/过) ", which also belongs to "A+marker". Then we conclude that "A+复趋" is a form with the meaning of strong dynamic motion.Chapter 5 generalizes the meaning of "A+复趋", and simply discusses the further studies on related structures and topics.In the attachment there are a list of the collocation of "A+复趋" and the bibliography.
