The Dream Shadow of Red Chamber is a novel written by Gu Taiqing on her later years, a famous female poet in Qing Dynasty. It is one of many continuations of Dream of Red Chamber, and also the first novel published by female writer so far. The four chapter on the base of thorough analyses, points out that this continuation owns both Manchu flavor and Beijing feature, contributing to later Qing Dynasty study, Dream of Red Chamber study and Manchu literature study.In short, The Dream Shadow of Red Chamber is valuable in ideological and artistry. On the base of grasping the theme properly and deeper study, people should make a relative fair comment about this novel, and excavate deeper its value.
