Zhu Yuanzhang Ceremony Governance Thought

This thesis treats a very important principal question: the "li" (礼) policy implemented by Ming Tai Zu (Zhu Yuan Zhang) during the early of Ming dynasty.Ming Tai Zu is well-known as a Strong-Arm emperor in the history of ancient Chinese society.Profiting from his many eximious policies,Ming Dynasty becomes a powerful country.But there is one point that has been ignored by many scholars in the past research:besides his "law" (法) policy,the "li" (礼) policy also plays an important role in Ming Tai Zu's social policies.Furthermore, the "li" (礼) policy and the "law"(法)policy is double sides of Ming Tai Zu's social policies.In fact, the "li" (礼) policy is the core of ancient Chinese law theory.The most specialest thing of Ming Tai Zu was that he argued in favor of his policies and set himself up as the authority in the ideology by making good use of the traditional political culture of China,so he legitimatized his severe punishment policy and made his social policies acceptant.As an important tradition and an effective social regulative policy, the "li" (礼) policy made ancient Chinese society steady-going.Ming Tai Zu is an acquainted Confucius dynast,so he succeeded in the combination of the " li"(礼)policy and the "law" (法) policy,and,as is concerned in the above paragraph, set himself up as the authority in the ideology.We can learn a lot from Ming Tai Zu's social policy in the recent construction of moral Socialism.
