This thesis discusses the correlation between consumers'behavior and product design through theoretical and practical research. Consumers'behavior contains cognition, utilization and purchase and product design includes product semantics, human engineering and brand image. The interaction of product design and consumers' behavior is discussed in great detail from these aspects.Through the comparison of the old and new products, the author concludes the trend of the development of household appliances. On the basis of consumers'satisfaction index, the author finds that population factor is related with the purchase of air-conditioner and dehumidifier .Hence, consumers' requirement of product appearance. In a sense, we can say the survey of consumer satisfaction provides an important source of new product design and an inspection of consumer acceptance.Besides, the findings of the theoretical research are applied in the practical development of Chunlan dehumidifiers which gives another chance to check the theory.
