According to the conditions that officialdom novels are not given the relevant emphasis, I discussed and appraised some officialdom novels written by Zhou Meisen. I hope that I can discuss all kinds of political problems that our country is faced with in the turning period deeply through the research on his novels, by which we can declare publicly the improvement of our political system and the need of reform. This dissertation can be divided into three parts. In the first part, I discussed the current social problems that his officialdom novels reflected and disclosed. In the second part, I want to dialyze the soul of typical characters through the different two types of officials. In the last part, I begin with his officialdom novels' narration pattern, topic conception and ending designing in order that I can point the drawbacks in his art character, and then discuss the paradox between the aesthetic significance and realistic significance of his writing. In the first part, the author not only brought forward many alarming social problems, but tried his best to find the deeper reasons. In the novel " Absolute Power", he told us the harm of absolute power and extended power, considered the source of corruption carefully. As far as he is concerned, he thought that the ultimate reason of absolute power coming was the man-controlled culture. In the novel "the Most Important benefit ", he not only brought forward the harm of merely chasing political achievement project and the political corruption, but retrospected the malpractice of our political system so that he pointed that the sticking point of all problems existed in the fact that our decision-making system lacked healthy restricted system. In the novel "Public Prosecution of Country ", the author grasped many conflicts during society turning period in which man-controlled society began to walk into law-controlled society, through this, he showed us the alarming harm of power to legal system and every step of law-controlling was so struggling and difficult. In the novel "Made in China", under the background of Ping Yang city's reform, he depicted the conflict and decision of municipal leaders and attributed the source of all conflicts to the China political system. Meanwhile the author told us when economy reform isdeveloped into certain stage , the political reform is the necessity of history. In the second part, he figured many typical characters and stepped into the deepest place of these people's soul so that he could showed the essence of humanity. In order to narrate conveniently, I divided all the characters into two series, that's good official series and bad official series. In the series of good officials, I not only analyzed their excellent trait, but disclosed their difference. What is the most important is that I focused them on all kinds of conflicts in order that I could disclose their personality charm. In the series of bad officials, the author pierced through simplification in modeling characters which was existed in a few officialdom novels. He not only depicted their corruption , but disclosed their process of humanity dissimilation. In the last part, I mainly discussed the paradox existed in reality significance and aesthetic significance. In his novels, the criticism on officialdom ethic and latent rules made his officialdom novels have the strong reality significance, but at the same time , because of his chasing readability excessively, it also led to the loss of his novels' significance room, which impaired his novels' aesthetic strength. According to this , I mainly discussed it through three levels: fixation of narration pattern, superficialness of his topic conception and duplication of ending designing.
