Based on the interaction of reportage writing and legal society building, starting with the viewpoint of the reportage, and with the employment of the theories of culture study, literature study, sociology, the study of transmission and the science of law, this thesis carries out some primary but systematic research on the engendering, the text experiencing and the text functions of the reportage in the process of building a legal society. Through the concrete analysis of the inter-relationship between the reportage and the legal society, the thesis aims to disclose the importance of the reportage in improving legal system so as to call on more attention on the reportage and the related theory.The thesis mainly consists of four parts: Part I: General IntroductionIn this part, the information of how to build a legal society in China with the assistance of literary means is first presented. A brief introduction of the study of reportages is provided as well. The author also clearly brings out the purpose why she wants to write this thesis. Part II: The Reportage and the Legal SocietyIn this part, the relationship between the reportage and the building of a legal society is intensively analyzed. The intention of the author is to explore the necessity of writing reportages in the process of building a legal society.By pursuing the policy of reform and opening up, China has already established the market economy, and she is now gradually entering the world market. New developments urgently call on the improvement of democracy and the legal system. Only in a legal society with multi-equalities can the ongoing development of economy and the non-interruptive accessing into the world market be achieved. During the process of improving the legal system in China, furious turbulences and great changes have occurred in the fields of politics, economy and culture, which brings the reportage into the real world; In the meanwhile, with all the hindrances being moved by the opening up policy, the enlightening function and the critical function of the reportage are further strengthened; The consciousness of reportage's subject is aroused by the more equal and democratic society as well. Part III: The Characteristics of Legal ReportagesLegal reportages bear the common characteristics of the general reportages, but as a special writing style, they also have some new earmarks as follows: (a).
