A Translation Report Of Legal System For Family Planning

The family planning not only relatively benefits to improve the health for the women and children, but also to some extent makes women obtain higher literacy, better career opportunity, higher social and economic status and more rights. The economic development makes women begin to pay more attention to their own right. Therefore,it is important to interpret the concept of legal system for family planning. However,there is little study on family planning policy for foreign countries because of different cultures; moreover, the diplomatic vacancy on family planning in China still exists. Therefore, studying and translating Legal System for Family Planning are in favor of avoiding misunderstanding for cross-cultural communication.During the process of translation, the translator adopted the Nord ' s Text Analysis Theory to analyze the text, finding that the translation project proved to be an informative text, and concluded the text function and text features. The translator selected translation strategies, including the literal translation, communicative translation and semantic translation strategies in accordance to the characteristics of legal text and identified and employed appropriate translation methods by analyzing vocabulary and syntax of the text. Finally, after finishing translation project, the translator analyzed and summarized the translation methods and strategies used in this translation version, concluded the translation problems, solutions and occupational accomplishment of the translator for legal text. Ultimately the translation version is able to express so accurate message of the original text that readers can get useful information.The process of this translation program gives translator more knowledge for the legal system of family planning, moreover, the translation version of this program is able to provide text and experience reference for the relevant personnel in legal profession with practical significance.
