Death In Children's Literature In Performance

As a particular kind of literature,children's literature also has quite abroadtopics,such as war,tribulation,death and sex. Adult's literature can use thesetopics,children's literature also can use, the point is the distinction in differentways of representation, and how to write them particularly. The distinctionbetween adult's literature and children's literature is not the range of theirtopics but how to represent those topics. What this dissertation is aiming is totry to discuss the representations of death in children's literature. I hope it canenlighten some children's literature writers and students.This dissertation is divided in two parts. First, it deals with depiction aboutdeath which is in existence in children's literature, then infers its likelihood,opens out its meaning, indicates the particularity of the depiction about deathin children's literature. Second, it tries to use individual cases analysis to showthe different ways of representation and the various manners of various writersof depiction about death in children's literature.
