Comparison is a basic method of acknowledging, researching and linguistic study. Contrast is a kind of comparison that emphasizes particularly on the differences. With the spread of the reform and open-up and external intercommunion, contrastive linguistics in China has been rapidly developing. Professor Xuyulong' "Contrastive Linguistics" and Professor Zhangzhiyi and Zhangqingyun' "Lexical Semantics" provides the possibility of developing lexical semantics of China. Through making use of the theories of the predecessors, this article discusses the lexical semantics about Chinese, Korea and English. The main target of this article is that handling the fruit of the contrastive linguistics and lexical semantics in the study of contrasting Chinese, Korea and English. In order to recognize the three languages in the higher level, the article describes the nonce state of the lexical semantics of the three languages which help us understand and use the three languages intensively. Consequently, we can find the academic evidences and credible clues to translate the three languages. The choice of the material rests up the aim of the research and semantic academic frame used by the author. The aim of the article is to depict the practices the three languages , so that the used materials is the one ofspoken-language and written-language which belong to the instance matter. Furthermore, the article has chosen the third kind of semantic materials, i.e. the existent researchful productions about the three languages. The article consists of seven parts. The first chapter accounts chiefly for the aim, method and meaning of the research. Only when the meanings of the original text is understood exactly, can it be correctly translated into the different languages. The second chapter mainly introduces the academic background of the lexical semantics and contrastive linguistics and states these days. The contrastive linguistics is an important embranchment of the linguistics, whose aim is to contrast and study the two or more languages. The lexical semantics is the development of the traditional semantics, and an embranchment of the modern semantics. The study of the semantics progresses on the lexical and syntactic lay, and the semantics on the lexical lay is the lexical semantics. The three sorts of theories all have the deep historical background and become the academic base that is used to dissertate the article. From the third to the sixth chapter, the article mainly analyses the differences of the three languages in the lexical semantics, including the three elements. The final chapter concludes the whole article. With the development of the age, the linguistics stands out itsimportance. Though Chinese-foreign contrast develops rapidly, the contrastive research of the Chinese, Korea and English is lack. The author hopes to devote myself to the field because of the love and familiarity for the three languages. But there are many shortages and mistakes in the article due to the limited level of the author and the short of the materials. Welcome to point out mistakes so that it can be corrected.
